Honey has antibacterial properties and can serve as a topical salve to help stop infectious situations.
Honey is high in antioxidants, including phenolic acids and flavonoids, which may support better health. There are a few smaller studies in humans which show honey’s antioxidants may help in improving cholesterol. Better cholesterol means lower risk for heart disease and strokes.
