Home remedies, like medical opinions & practices, are available in multitudes. The medical profession is learning more about the health benefits from foods, supplements, exercise, and rest for the remedy to combat an array of illnesses. Some medical doctors believe strictly in medications and others believe in alternative methods especially regarding preventative practices.
Could a home remedy help? There is usually no harm in trying remedy especially if the remedy is derived from all natural ingredients or a form of body manipulation. There are a lot of home remedies that are claimed to help prevent health problems before they get started and some that claim they can help to reverse problems that have already begun.
Home remedy meets science. What are the benefits of Cayenne peppers? Is dried (powder form) as good as fresh? Powder is of course not as pure as fresh, but either form will offer the described health benefits. Native American Indians have used cayenne pepper for both food and medicine for thousands of years. Science is catching up to the old medicine men or women from long, long ago.
Some research shows that the spice of peppers aids in lowering the risk of heart-related diseases such as heart attacks and strokes. Cayenne pepper is listed as one of those spices.
Cayenne peppers provide a great source of an antioxidants along with other plant compounds which promote better cell health.
Cayenne pepper has a sufficient amount of vitamins A, B6, C, and K.
DO NOT give Cayenne pepper to children under 2 and consult a doctor for children between 3 & 12 years of age. Also people who suffer from high blood pressure and are taking ACE inhibitors should consult their doctor before taking Cayenne pepper.
