Heart Disease Statistics
In the US well over 500,000 people die from one form or another related to heart disease each year. Americans have approximately 800,000 heart attacks a year and about 600,000 of them are first heart attacks. Between 11 and 13% of people who suffer a heart attack will die from it. Blockage of the arteries is the most common type of heart disease. If you are at risk for heart disease start changing your lifestyle before your first heart attack.
