What Are Neural Pathways
A neural pathway is basically a connection of neurons which send signals from one part of the brain to another part of the brain. Neurons have different jobs. Neurons responsible for signals to control muscles are called motor neurons. Neurons responsible for signals to activate our senses such as sight, touch, smell, taste, and hearing are called sensory neurons. Neurons responsible for connecting neuron to neuron (non-sensory or non-mothor are called interneurons.
New Neural Pathways, The Why & How
Can you change your neural pathways or create new ones? Science says the answer to those questions is an astounding yes. Neuroplasticity is how the brain can form new neural pathways. This is something the brain typically does especially in response to injury or disease, when a person focuses their attention long enough on a particular situation, they can rewire these pathways or create new pathways to complete a task formerly done by damaged neural pathways.
